Lake Granby Family Camp - Day Three

Day 3 of our First Annual Howard/ Sherman Family Camp at Lake Granby, Colorado -- at the Arapaho Bay Campground -- was full of good weather, great group hike, yummy food, real coffee in the morning and perfect margaritas in the evening, more water fun and corn hole, and another gorgeous sunset at the end of the day, followed by ghost stories and s'mores around the campfire.

DAY THREE

Morning coffee around the campfire.

Getting ready for the group hike.

Single file all the way down -- the trail wasn't wide enough for more than one person (or dog).

Alan making, and serving, his famous (or infamous?) Coin Margaritas.
Do not attempt Corn Hole after the 2nd one . . .

Lake Granby Family Camp - Day Two

Another beautiful day on Lake Granby, Colorado, for our First Annual Howard/ Sherman Family Camp.  Everyone got there, eventually, and so, by the end of the day, there were 15 of us and 4 dogs.

DAY TWO

Ben & Leandra setting up their tent.  By the end of the day, we had our camper, two pop-up campers, and 4 tents!

Zach & Niko came out from California.

The evenings were so beautiful and peaceful!

Lake Granby Family Camp - Day One

For our First Annual Howard/ Sherman Family Camping Trip, we gathered at the Arapaho Bay Campground, on Lake Granby, in Colorado.  There were 15 of us all together (after the first day), and 4 big dogs.  Lots of planning, prepping, and packing -- but, we all agreed that it was worth it.

DAY ONE

On the first day, Alan and I arrived with Royal, around 2 pm, and were soon joined by my son Ty, granddaughter Remy, soon-to-be daughter in law Nikki, and Nikki's mom, Debbie, from Pittsburgh., and their dog, Hugo.  (Everyone else would be getting there the 2nd day.)

I had reserved 3 campsites, on the Moraine Loop, and we were thrilled to see that they were so close to the water, which was very high.  We decided that next year, we will get a fourth campsite.

Hugo and Royal resting in the shade, after one of their many swims.

Burgers for dinner -- not too exciting, maybe, but they sure tasted good (just like everything does when you're camping!)

Beautiful sunset on our first night there.

. . . and the dogs could not get enough of the water.
